Halloween in the Cayman Islands:
Family Events and Late‑Night Parties
Where children trick-or-treat, what's on, and the practical bits for Saturday 31 October 2026.
The short answer
- Yes, Halloween is celebrated here. Expect costumes, trick-or-treating in family neighbourhoods, and parties at bars and hotels. It is not a public holiday.
- In 2026 it falls on a Saturday, so the family events and the late-night parties all land on one night, with a busier evening than usual on the roads.
- Families: trick-or-treating starts around sunset (about 5:50pm) and is mostly done by about 9pm. Snug Harbour and Webster's Estates are the best-known streets, Camana Bay runs free trick-or-treating from 4pm, and there are 15 family events from 24 to 31 October, including two designed for children with sensory needs.
- Adults: the costume parties run late. Sandbar runs two ticketed pirate-themed nights (30 and 31 October), Grand Tiki has a club night on the 30th, CCMI holds its gothic Festival of Seas gala at Hotel Indigo, the Cayman Drive-In shows Scream 7, and the Nightmare on North Sound haunted attraction runs five nights. More bars usually announce in the final week.
- On the Brac, Halloween overlaps with the Cayman Brac leg of Pirates Week (30 and 31 October).
Trick-or-treating: where and when
Trick-or-treating here is a neighbourhood affair rather than a street-by-street tradition everywhere, so families tend to head to the residential areas known for it. Snug Harbour and Webster's Estates are the names that come up most; houses taking part usually have lights on and decorations out, and a dark house is a polite "not this year". It starts around sunset, about 5:50pm on 31 October, and most children are home by about 9pm.
Two practical points for visitors to those streets: park legally and considerately, since residents still need to get in and out, and keep young children in sight near the road, as many estates have no pavements.

Getting around on the night
A Saturday Halloween means busy roads in the early evening near the trick-or-treat neighbourhoods and late at night along West Bay Road. If you are heading to a party, plan the ride home before you go: see our getting around guide and the taxi fare calculator for what the trip home will cost.
