1.2 Push Notification Data (Mobile App)

If you use the Daily.ky mobile app and enable push notifications, we collect:

• Device token:a unique identifier assigned by Apple (APNs) or Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) that allows us to send notifications to your device
• Notification preferences:the categories you choose to receive notifications for
• Delivery time preferences:any custom notification schedule you set

We do not require an account. Your notification preferences are stored against your device token only; we do not link them to your name, email, or any other personal identifier.

1.3 Information You Provide

If you contact us via email or a feedback form, we collect the information you include in your message (such as your email address and the content of your enquiry).

• Providing and improving our news aggregation, cost-of-living tools, and data services
• Delivering push notifications you have opted into

3. Data We Collect From Third-Party Sources

Daily.ky aggregates publicly available data to power its tools and indexes:

• Grocery prices:collected from the public online stores of Foster's and Hurley's
• Rental listings:collected from publicly listed properties on eCayTrade and CIREBA
• News headlines:sourced from Cayman Compass, Cayman News Service, Cayman Marl Road, Cayman Independent, government press releases, and RCIPS
• Cruise ship schedules:sourced from the Port Authority of the Cayman Islands
• Weather data:sourced from the Cayman Islands National Weather Service and NOAA

This data is factual, publicly available information. No personal data about individuals is collected from these sources.

4. Advertising

Daily.ky may display advertisements from local Cayman Islands businesses. These advertisements are served directly by us and are not targeted based on your browsing behaviour or personal data. We do not use third-party ad networks or programmatic advertising platforms.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure server infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
