Where to Watch the Game

The short answer

• On the Seven Mile Beach strip: PD's (the 1988 original), Legendz (opposite the Westin), Fidel Murphy's (the UK-sports pub, open from 8am), The Bird (the party pick) and Lloyd's Smokehouse (barbecue with the game on).
• Further east: Salty's at Grand Harbour (24 TVs, the family option) and The Roost on Smith Road (open-air, inside the pickleball complex).
• NFL Sundays work here: everything on this list opens on Sundays, and in September and October the 1pm ET slate kicks off at 12pm Cayman time.
• Two famous names are gone: Lone Star closed in December 2024 after 40 years, and All Stars (formerly The Attic) has also closed, whatever the directories say.

NFL Sundays: the local logistics

The kickoff math: Cayman stays on Eastern Standard Time all year, with no daylight saving. From the season opener through early November, US Eastern time runs an hour ahead of Cayman, so the 1pm ET slate starts at 12pm here, the late window about 3:25pm, and Sunday Night Football about 7:20pm. When the US clocks fall back in November, Cayman and US Eastern align exactly for the rest of the season, including the playoffs and the Super Bowl.

Where to sit: multi-game Sundays are what PD's sound zones and Salty's 24 screens are built for. Salty's and Lloyd's open at 9am and 8am on weekends, comfortably ahead of the first window; kickoff-time arrivals at the bigger venues are fine outside playoff weekends.

Premier League, rugby and the early kickoffs

UK sport runs on breakfast time here. A 3pm Saturday kickoff in England is 9am in Cayman during British Summer Time and 10am once the UK clocks change; the Saturday lunchtime game lands at 7:30am. That is why the early opens matter: Fidel Murphy's is an 8am pub every day of the week, with the full Irish breakfast (and for a big European match it has been known to open even earlier); Legendz and Lloyd's open at 8am on weekends, and Salty's and The Roost are 9am openers. Fidel's is the traditional home crowd for Premier League, Champions League, Six Nations and GAA, and the staff will switch a screen to whatever match you ask for.

Fight nights and everything else

One thing not to overthink: access. Any bar with a TV here can pull in every game through the local cable affiliates or streaming, whether or not it advertises a package by name, so the choice is about atmosphere and screens rather than coverage. The only time to call ahead is for a genuinely niche match, and the staff at any of these venues will generally put it on if you ask. UFC and boxing pay-per-view nights fill the dedicated sports bars, with PD's and Salty's the reliable calls and the late licences at PD's and Legendz covering the main cards. Between marquee events the same screens carry NBA, NHL, college football, cricket and whatever a table asks for; in a World Cup summer, expect every venue on this page plus half the island's restaurants to have it on.

The ones that are gone

Two of Cayman's best-known sports-bar names no longer exist, and the internet has not caught up. Lone Star Bar & Grill, the island's definitive sports bar for 40 years, closed its Seven Mile Beach location on 1 December 2024; a planned relocation never materialised. All Stars Sports Bar & Grill at Queens Court, which had itself taken over from the long-running pool hall The Attic, has also closed. Both still appear as open on major review sites and directories, so if an older list sent you to either, this page is the correction.

Practical notes

Prices are in CI$ and menus are stable rather than weekly-changing; expect bar food in the CI$12 to CI$20 range and a 15 to 18% service charge on the bill (see our tipping guide for how that works). Happy hours worth knowing: Legendz twice daily (4:30–7pm and 10pm–close), Salty's weekdays 4–6pm, PD's beer specials during big games. Taking kids to the game? Salty's is the purpose-built family option, and The Roost has a playground beside the pickleball courts.
